Swansea University

My course at Swansea uni has been really great so far. I feel as though I’ve been given lots of opportunities to grow and network. There have been lots of great lecturers who are willing to go above and beyond to help us out when needed and the facilities are always really great!

Nursing is a challenging course, and at Swansea University, they offer a lot of support to help you qualify. There is accommodation on campus, which makes it easy to get to lectures, and the Swansea nightlife is amazing.

The university's location is great for town and also sports such as water sports, with the sea and mountains being so close. The student accommodation is spacious and allows you to meet many different people, helping to improve social life. Great career opportunities are offered as the course progresses.

The past year and a half has been great. Friends, facilities, and accommodation have been good. The course content has been delivered well, and all assignments have been marked really well too!

Despite the pandemic still affecting the course, it was still a very enjoyable experience. I gained valuable experience using hospital equipment such as an MRI scanner and CT scanner. As well as this, the module lecturers were mostly made up on hospital workers that specialised in areas that the module was based on. This ensured that all our questions were able to answered and we always provided with the most up to date and accurate information.

The accommodation was also very positive, and located within in minutes walk of lectures and the hospital.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time studying at Swansea University - the people and the place made it for me and I wouldn't change a thing!

I was thrilled to receive a place at Swansea University's master's course. The academic staff at Swansea are extremely supportive and approachable. The module assessments are well spaced out allowing sufficient time to prepare for each. Swansea University consists of peaceful study places, and the library at singleton campus being my favorite. Nonetheless, the environment surrounding the university including of beaches and ample greenery creates a peaceful studying area. However, the city of Swansea is very popular among students for it's night life, as there's wide range of hangout spots you could enjoy with friends. Overall, you'd get to experience a good studying experience whilst having fun with your mates!!

Staff are extremely helpful and nothing is too small for them. Lecturers have office hours and are always happy to go through things again. Outreach opportunities are amazing and the Bay Campus is so modern and fresh. Plus who doesn't want to study on the beach?!

I did my masters online but still had great access to support and lecturers were on hand to answer my questions. They made the sessions engaging and easy to follow.

My undergraduate degree was very enjoyable and the accommodation on bay campus is amazing. The travel from bay to singleton is not particularly easy though.

Would recommend Swansea to everyone, I had a great time.

Firstly the accomodation is great! There are a wide range of options eg if you wish to live in single sex/ mixed sex/ quiet flats etc. The university is very accomodating and welcoming and the staff are always patient and willing to give extra help. The way they have organised module work and recommended reading etc through 'canvas' is also very organised and extremely easy to navigate. It honestly couldn't be better! The facilities in the university are beyond what I expected. I always look forward to my lab sessions due to always being introduced to new equipment that is used in recent world-wide research. It's truly fascinating! The social life is also great, with town being closely located to both campuses and the prices of tickets and drinks being reasonable for a student on a budget.
